Criminal Defense: Ms. Remson defends adult and juvenile defendants in New Jersey and New York, ranging from serious indictable crimes and felonies in State and Federal Court to traffic tickets and disorderly persons charges in Municipal Court. Ms. Remson has achieved successful results for her clients at trial and on appeal. Ms. Remson has successfully secured the vacating of convictions on behalf of her clients via motions for post-conviction relief and has cleared her clients' records with the filing of expungement proceedings, allowing them to pursue employment and other opportunities that a criminal conviction would hinder.
Family Court: Ms. Remson provides legal representation in various family court cases, including GLBT matters, such as civil union dissolutions and domestic partnership terminations; divorce cases; post-judgment applications for modification of child support, parenting time and emancipation of adult children in New Jersey; and domestic violence restraining orders in New Jersey and New York. In addition to being a zealous advocate for her clients, she also engages in alternative dispute methods to minimize costs and conflicts for her clients and their children.
Estates: Ms. Remson prepares Will, Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive packages for New Jersey and New York residents. Ms. Remson also engages in the
probating of Estates with and without Wills. Ms. Remson has been appointed by the Superior Court as counsel for allegedly incapacitated persons in permanent guardianship matters. For adults who can no longer make appropriate medical and financial decisions for themselves, Ms. Remson may assist the family with New Jersey Guardianship applications.
